I think it would be helpful to have a few "general" moderators, that aren't in charge of any specific section. Their duties would include the simpler general things needed to upkeep the forum, such as moving threads and deleting spam.

I think this could take a lot of load off the rest of the mod team, and would also be a more casual position that would be easier to fill.

We're all general moderators right now

That moderators have been 'assigned' a section doesn't mean we're only in charge of that section... we all do everything to keep the forum in check, regardless of in which section a mishap occured. Not sure where you got the idea from that we limit ourselved to just one section??

I didn't mean to imply that you are only in charge of one section . The main point is that all they would have to do is delete spam and such, and wouldn't deal with the more serious things like rep abuse, banned members joining agian, handing out infractions.

I think this could get some people to keep the forum straight at night time and such.

Well FD's already do the general stuff. I think once we have some of the specific section staff in place it will ease the load.

The mod system is being re-jigged so expect there to be more mods soon - there are already nominations for Marketplace Moderators and Taeric has hinted at a few more spots in the future.
