I've said all along that I will consider new rules (thus the "mandatory") once the existing rules are understood and used. We're getting closer to that, but it's still a long ways off. For now, use of country abbreviations is encouraged but not required. We will not be splitting these forums into country-specific sections as that would be way too cumbersome.
