This is the worst idea ever. Forcing people to fill in their specs is dumb because it's going against their ****ing FREE WILL. This is a great way to discourage people from staying at the site. 95% of the people who are subjected to this will probably say, "What a crock. I'm going somewhere else."

Why not just make it mandatory you fill in system specs when you sign up for the forums. If you don't fill it in, you can't join. Just that simple.

Wow this thread is pretty ridiculous. @ the OP: Seriously dude if someone doesn't wanna fill in their specs and show off what they got we don't wanna force em. I haven't been a member of OCN for that long but I do know that's not how we do it around here. We're a friendly community and we don't wanna run people away just cause we don't know what kind of computer they have. Maybe some people are embarassed by their stock Gateway models. And as far as the location dude that's just crazy to get mad at someone for. If they don't want you to know where they live then sorry for ya man. Honestly I wish I didn't have my city listed I don't really want you getting mad at my sig and coming to find me......
