I told my friend not to buy this cooler a while back when he was building his rig and to buy a used TRUE from a mutual friend. That was last year. I was at his house a couple months ago and we were over-clocking it, when it performed badly he asks me why I recommended it to him. My reply was to laugh and remind him that the choice to buy the V8 was all on him. He could have gotten the TRUE for about 20$ cheaper too.

Ya, one of the annoyances was his V8 fan was making an annoying click noise.

You should have ordered the V6GT, the technology is better/newer in it. on Newegg, the V6GT is only a few dollars more. oh and ATI cards do not SLI (that's nvidia cards), they do Crossfire. im sure there are threads here on overclock.net that go into more detail as to what you can crossfire and what you cant. IMO, you should be able to put almost any crossfire compatible card in there and it should work, regardless of what company made it.
