Motherboard shopping help

So i was looking at this board
http://www.provantage.com/msi-870a-g54~7MSTB06R.htm
but after looking through the AMD section a lot of you guys advised against msi boards for AMD x4 processors and i plan on overclocking. I'd like a board with 2-4 pci-e slots but i don't really know what brand of board to get and clearly msi isn't the right choice according to you guys so what do you recommend? My price range is about 100-150 USD.

Personally I'd wait awhile longer due to Bulldozer coming out soon. I realize that they are starting to produce the AM3+ boards but they will surely be coming out with many more shortly. I'd wait awhile longer and get a good AM3+ board. Save you money incase you would upgrade to the AM3+ later.

p.s. Although some current AM3 boards are going to be compatible with the AM3+ but I'm not sure how reliable that will be.

Well i mostly only use my pc for gaming and while bulldozer sounds amazing i don't really see a reason for me to have it. My main reason for it was because i have a bunch of graphics cards just lying around and i wish i could be using them to fold.

i have had many MSI mobos go out over the years(probly around 6 or 7).
I know u dont really want to hear this but u need to save a little more money and get like an asus crosshair or something like that dont buy msi mobo they make good vid cards but horrible mobo. or wait till the better AM3+ come out. also depends on how many pciex 2 u want

I put this board in my sister's build and I have yet to have any issues with it. Its reliable. I've always gone ASUS for my motherboards and have yet to make a purchase that I have regret.

Forgive me for this but I don't really know much about mobos.
So using 2 gfx cards on that board would slow them down right? If so would it really affect my performance very much?

I've read that dual x8 won't affect performance much at all. If you would like more assurance, google dual x16 vs dual x8

me and my friend both had 2 gtx460s and his mobo does x16 and mine does x8 and there was a verry small difference between the two. I switched to intel bc I was tired of the crossfire sli compatability in the AMD mobos. not saying there is anything wrong with AMD I used them for many years.
