Okay decided to stick with Sapphire HD 6990 because I cleared it out. It turns out I was half right to begin with. The Dual BIOS switch turns up the voltage and clockspeed of the 6990 to full 2x 6970 spec because the 6990 is already dual 6970 chip to begin with except clocked slightly lower. So it's essentially CF 6970 on one pcb board. Correct?

So "unlocking" was definitely the right word. Or even "unleashing" for that matter biggrin.gif
