Note: When AMD has something they really think can truly beat intel, they show it off and they show it off early. Remember the 6.5ghz Phenom II x4 on liquid helium. It beat most of the extreme benches at the time and they were showing it off like crazy.
If they really had something to show, we would have seen it, it would have been in vegas, and I'm sure there would have been techno music playing.
Very good point. Hyper Pi will likely default to 8 threads and get HT going which will bog down Sandy. Might explain some of this.
