First WC Setup

Thread Starter
Hi all! I just wanted to get a few opinions on my first real wc setup I would like to run. I'm not exactly sure if I have everything I need listed so if you spot something, please feel free to point it out. Also, if any of you can chime in on the parts I picked.

Take note that as of right now, I plan on just wc'ing my CPU and in the future, will wc my gpu when I buy a new one. This will also be going to a Corsair 800D as well.

3 x 120mm x 25mm fans (options open)

Those are all awesome parts. What about a radiator? You'll need one of those Check out the XSPC RX360 - you can stick Gentle Typhoons on it to achieve good results whilst ensuring your rig stays quiet

You will need more compression fittings too. You need two fittings per component. Pump + Reservoir + Radiator + CPU block = 8 fittings total (in and out on each component).

I actually forgot to add that onto the list (: But it's there now!

Ah, thank you for the heads up on the fittings as well.

Also, would there be a need to buy angled fittings or is that solely for trying to organize the tubing around the case?

You're welcome. You'll then need three fans for the radiator (I recommend Gentle Typhoon AP-14 or AP-15's).

The MCR320 is a fine choice, by the way.

You do know that MCP350 has integrated 3/8" fittings ? You will have to buy a top for pump to use 1/2" tubing.

Does it really? I looked at the specs on the site and it shows nothing of it.

Water block is good nothing better imo.

Pump (Swiftech MCP350â„¢ 12v Water Pump (Native 3/8") (92.4 GPH))
Might wanna look at a d5 variable or non variable almost identical in price.

Res is all based on personal opinions.

Rad isnt bad only better rads would be TC PCA120.3 or RX360 both of which are more expensive and not worth the small temp drop unless your gonna run high rpm fans.

Fans GT AP-15's always great AP-14's are great too I think CM R4's are good as well. There are tones of good choices depending on what you are looking for your fans to do.

What are you looking to add in the future and how much noise do you want your system to have will really drive your rad decision.

For some reason, yes. I decided to buy the XSPC reservoir that houses the 350/355 pump just to save me space. If you want to use the pump by itself you either need 3/8" tubing or a top with the correct fittings for ye tubing you require.
