2500k Rig for a friend, suggestions ?

Thread Starter
As the title says the rig will be designed around the p67 2500k

Her budget is 1000$ even.

This is what i have picked out so far, any suggestions would be great, especially in the PSU department. She already has aftermarket CPU cooler and a monitor taken care of , same goes for mouse and keys.

Everything comes out to 887 not including the mail in rebates.

I suggest at least a gtx560 for a new built. If you want the 460 get the 1g/256bit version of that card.
For what purpose is this pc? If its just games then u can go way higher in the gpu department
6950/570/6970...
Edit: Also what is her monitor's resolution... Also noticed the board of choice, its not the best out there in terms of price/features/performance point of view.

Her res is standard 1680x1050 , she will be doing a bit of gaming, whatever the popular titles are,she is dying to play portal 2 and left for dead again, really wants to play dead-space 2 also. A bit of digital camera stuff, nothing in the rendering area of needing a 2600k. Need to stay under a grand so the 560 is out of the question atm.

What about this 460 ? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-591-_-Product

Mmmm i see well i suggest for future titles sake atleast get a 460 with 1g. its not just the vram that matters at that resolution. So i suggest switching to a Gtx460 preferably from msi or gigabytes SOC cards.
Here are boards of choice: Gigabyte GA-P67X-UD3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128488
Asrock p67 extreme 4 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157229

No that 460 of choice is SE it has less cuda cores than a standard 1g or even the one u chose.
Here are your options: Msi gtx 460 HAWK "tallons attack"
Gigabyte gtx 460 1g Super Overclock
Or if u want a normal gtx 460 with a good oc potential/silence.. Get asus Gtx 460 Direct CU card.

Edit: I prefere u go with msi :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127534
