Overclocked Q9300 , does it look OK? - Page 2

Your DDR2 800 is your limitation. At 425, it has to do 850. At 450 it will be at 900. Plus you're using 4 sticks which is always harder to get stable.

You can decrease your multiple, bump RAM voltage a notch (and/or loosen timings) and test for FSB failure with Prime Blend. It will take alot of time. The easier route is to order 2x2GB of 1066 and make life easy.

Thread Starter
thanks for the answer , I do know my XMS2 sticks are not great overclockers... what I am looking though is a possible way to decrease heat on ~3.2ghz... my system is stable at 425 and the settings I posted above... unless you imply that if I had better memory then I could lower vcore some more....
In reality I don't want to change anything on this system, right now I have 4x2GB sticks , if I were to buy new ram I would upgrade to a DDR3 system just trying to get some more juice from my existing setup... (not to mention I am not going back to 4gb)
I am not trying to bash your reply, I thank you for it but my noobness might not let me understand it's full meaning
