Nope, it's closer to 20% in that chart. And they were using beta drivers for the GTX 500s (263.09), things on the performance-side have improved a lot since then, I wouldn't be surprised if the 580 performs to at least 85%-90% of those very same 2x6950s now.

The 580 = 78% of the performance of the CF 6950s on that chart.

That means the CF 6950s are ~1.28x the speed of the GTX 580, or roughly 28% faster.

there's always one in every topic.

100-78=22, round to nearest 5 = 20%.

Just get two 6950. I haven't even looked, are sli 560 ti any good? How would xfire 6950 vs sli 560 ti go, head to head? Just wondering. It's already obvious the op has decided to go with Radeon. I'm just curious, though.

Percentages don't work that way.

Assume the GTX 580 = 1.

The GTX 580 (1) = .78x with "x" being the performance of CF 6950s

Therefore, x = 1/.78 = 1.28

CF 6950s = 1.28 times the performance of a single 580 (based on that chart).

OK I see what you did there, nevermind.

Has the OP made up his mind already BTW?
