Keyboard Lag

Thread Starter
Hello guys, i'm having a big problem with my PS/2 keyboard on Windows 7.
When i'm writing, every few secs (5-10) mine keyboard lag, and when i'm trying to type something like word: members, it will type mbmeres or something like that.
I tried reinstall Windows, change keyboard, turned off antivirus, turned off services like ATI Hotkey poller, cleaning registry, scaning computer for viruses, nothing works...

Its: Intel Pentium Dual Core e2200
2GB DDR3 Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB
Windows 7 Ultimate

Is usually running about 20 processes, memory usage is about 700 and cpu usage about 1-4% when computer is idle.

Help please!

Sorry about bad english.

That is impossible according to the OCN Keyboard Guide because PS/2 is IRQ based...

hah, I keeed. Windows is a modern OS filled with abstraction layers so PS/2 versus USB would make little difference here.

Try defragging your disk. If you still have IDE still check your cable connections - that once was my problem - a bugger to figure THAT one out.

This can either be memory timings not set right including memory voltage not set right,
And/Or the video card drivers not running right.

Set your memory timings/voltage in the BIOS and also reinstall your video card drivers.

It could be something else, but try those two options.

Hmm.... I don't have any options in BIOS to set voltage or timings..

I checked cables, they're allright, i'll try now to defrag.

Go to your User CP and fill out your system specs, it will help people help you.

Are you using a store bought pc? most likely you are.

If so what brand/model etc...

Running a memcheck would be a good idea.

Does the mouse ever lag, or is it just the keyboard?

Probably the hard drive.

Get a SSD and you'll NEVAH see that again. I love my SSD.

PS/2 not so much.
