Yeah, I just don't like the look of a T-line. Nothing wrong with them, just my personal preference. I like the all the coolant flowing...adds better feng-shui to the system

With my new NXZT phantom case i am working on an idea to put a small rez under the top pannel that comes off, but it would basically work as fill tube. That would put it higher than every thing else. I just like my bay rez...it wasn't cheap, so I'd like to use the thing (and don't want to sell it).

bleed with the res as the highest point, unless a lot of water evaporates(it have to get lower than the inlet/outlet of the res) the only place air will be in any large amount would be the res, since bubbles that come into the res will go right to the top since the inlet is higher or level with the outlet of the res, which is also a law of physics, the path of least resistance, surface tension, and vacuum/back pressure holding the water in the tubes, you'd have to break the seal to the tubing to get air in it after bleeding

Hmm...heh, maybe I need a smaller pump. My res air bubles flow right on through the rez once I turn the pump up. I always can bleed all the air out if the rez is the highest point. Once it is bled and is no longer the highest point and I turn my pump up to the max setting; air bubles come in, spin around a bit and get sucked out.

Or maybe I need to scrap my rez...it is only a single bay so the inlet and outlet are even. If the outlet was lower it would probably be fine.

you have a d5 vario? and what res do you have, just in case you have an ek spin res, those are pretty much impossible to keep bleed properly

What res are you using? I can bleed bay res' in 10 minutes or less. Depending on your type of res, you might have to block/divert the bubbles away from the pump.

I guess I don't know the model anymore...bought it from Danger Den a few years ago. Just a plexiglass cube with the fittings on the back. There is a divider wall that runs up the middle, but it lacks the cup like buble shield on the outlet that I see newer reserviors have. Though I don't know how well those work. the flow I have through mine will probably push them through...and yes I have a D5 pump.

Its just the res design and not its height, I had a typhoon that was just an empty box and had issues with it until I seperated the in and out, the XSPC with the cup over the outlet bleed easily. Now I have the D5 pump bay things and that took a couple of weeks but there's no air in the loop now.
Not SLi any more

I just ran the dang thing and fill it up as necessary. Bleeds itself in only a few minutes. Air bubbles in rads will eventually dissolve over time or get pushed out. You don't have to worry about bleeding unless you have a really crappy pump setup. With dual ddcs I can go from empty to bled in about 30 minutes. Bay reservoirs do suck in my opinion. I have a few of them sitting around (xspc ones) that aren't up the job (pain in the ass to fill).

bingo. my latest rebuild has a t line every so slightly higher than my cpu block running directly into a DD fillport/res mounted thro the top of my case.

Loop damn near bled itself in less than 15 mins... I just hook my pump to an external test bench power supply in my basement and change the voltage every few minutes between 7-12 volts to change the speed. Mix in a shake or two and ur done.
