Cheapest, I'd get that
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127568&cm_re=gtx570-_-14-127-568-_-Product

MSI GTX 570
1) $3.64 less (after rebate)
2) Reference design
3) Dual slot card biggrin.gif
4) Free Shipping - 3 to 4 day delivery
5) 3-year warranty
6) Slightly better wattage consumption biggrin.gif

GTX 480 Amped!
1) Reference design (w/ Zalman cooler) biggrin.gif
2) Triple-slot card (no prob for SLI w/ current mobo biggrin.gif)
3) 20 minute drive to buy it now biggrin.gif
4) Life-time warranty biggrin.gif
5) Consumes slightly more wattage
6) Cooler than GTX 570 @ load + OC biggrin.gif
7) More vram biggrin.gif

More biggrin.gif faces for the Amped! in this scenario. MSI GTX 570 (reference) is not a better deal thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Heat isn't an issue with a aftermarket cooler on the 480s. The AXP on my 480 (roughly the same as the Zalman on the Zotac) will keep the temps low and noise to a near silent minimum.

Keep in mind, when you game and the card heats up, the heat goes inside the case so you'll need some decent airflow in your case.

That is a good price though! Only better price I saw was for the Galaxy 480 but those sold out quick...better buy up!

I use the 470 AMP! and it's excellent. The cooler is silent (fans never go above 40%). I defintely would recommend the AMP! edition... the 480 will be warmer than my 470 but it's gonna be great with that cooler thumb.gif

Not worried about the heat being blown into the case. No love for Galaxy overhere.

I was looking at that exact same card as well, trying to decide between that or a MSI 570 Twin Frozr 3.

I am worried about the heat output of 2 480's in a Corsair 600T White Special Edition case and resell value because I plan to SLI but I also want to be able to sell the cards when the new GTX 6xx series comes out next year if I decide to.

Grats on the new card btw.

Nice choice, I would have went for the 480 as well if I could do it over.
