As I recall, the LG Blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive I bought came with software (PowerDVD 8) but it only supported 2-ch/stereo audio. Hence, I still ended up buying Blu-ray playback software.

i like lg drives but they only come with powerdvd 8 which does not bitstream hd audio otherwise you're good to go, corel windvd 10 is the cheapest of the bunch mentioned.
