6850 CF vs 6950?

im planning on buying a new video card and im deciding between two 6850 (crossfire) or just a single 6950? and which one will perform better as in gaming. ?

6850 cfx will be faster but I'd rather get a 6950. 6850s are a dead end, you can't go anywhere after you get two of them.

6850/70 have a limit of 2 card crossfire, ie. buying into a dead end.

then if you get one 6950 you can upgrade in the future, i agree it's a better choice.

This is the same as the old 460 vs 480 debate or 560 vs 570 or this or that..

Bottom line is like above poster said it is a dead end and then you have to do a complete resale to upgrade in the future..

Go with the 6950 and you will be set to move up in the future or just sit tight for now (it is a very powerful card for single monitor).

what resolution are going to be using ? if your going to be using resolution higher then 1920×1200 then i would get amd 6950 crossfire set up other wise I don't see its worth it.
