If you want all the eye candy and 60 FPS you need a second card..speaking from experience here. (U3011 is close, anyway)

Yeah, you would.

No, you wouldn't.

I think you got that the wrong way ninja.gif

Well. Looking at some benchmarks it seems that on most games you would get aroung 30ish FPS, but on some extremely demanding games such as Metro 2033 with only 1 card you will barely get around 11FPS.

If you don't go too crazy and set every game at 32x AA, you should be fine on MOST games with one. However, If you don't feel you have enough horsepower on the games you play with your new monitor you could always get it later.

Honestly, at that resolution, most jaggies on the edges of surfaces won't porbably even appear, so even with low AA you will be fine. I'm just trying to be rational, not pessimist.

That monitor looks totally worth it. If I had the money I would buy it, even if I had to trun down some details.

If you are going to order one from Dell - look at the estimated ship date. For me yesterday it was May 21st. I spoke to someone on their live chat about how realistic that was and he sent me a quote with guaranteed three day delivery from the time I placed my order.

I'm still undecided - $1100 for a monitor seems just a bit extreme for me.

I'm pretty sure that 90% of all the games ever made would be able to run on 6950.

There's about 20 years worth of computers games right? trollface.jpg

You should be okay with the single 6950, as in you'll get playable FPS at the least

amazon comes out to $920 without TAX I would personaly go with Ebay.
As for getting another 6950 is completly up to you, you will get nicer detail on a monitor like that if you unlock both 6950 its basicly a 6990
