If I got a Dell U2711.... - Page 4

MY oced 480 runs SC2 at 150fps plus no matter what, and runs Black Ops at greater than 60 all the time. Thats at 1600p and all the eye candy which is a noticeable increase over 1440p. Now I know those aren't exactly super stressful games, but it gives you an idea.

I think you would be fine with the 6950, unless you play metro 2033 and the likes.

Metro, AvP, Crysis 1 and DA2 (although this apparently runs a lot better on AMD cards) will be killers on a single card.

That said, that's a pretty small list all in all.

I pull 60-80fps in Crysis 2 at 1440p, so I'm sure a single 6950 will get playable fps there. And less demanding stuff like Source games, CoD, BFBC2, Dirt 2, SC2, Wow etc should still be easily maxable.

Depends on what you play really.
