Red lighting recommendation

Thread Starter
I am looking to add red light to the inside of the NZXT Vulcan case I am building for my girlfriend.

I would like it at least as bright as 2x12" cold cathodes. But there are two problems. First there does not seem to be room for 12" strip lights and second CCFL's seem to be more orange than red from the reviews I have read.

What would be a good alternative? I have looked into 1w RED LED's but I would have to build a breadboard for them and figure out resistors, my electrical and soldering skills are only rudementary.

If you want "red" stick with LEDs, CCFL tends to be pink or orange'ish. Check here: http://www.performance-pcs.com look under DYI > LED
They have pre-wired LEDs and some other stuff that might work for ya.

Logisys's Meteor Lights can be run straight off 12V or fan controller and are RED.
