gtx 470 sli with rx240?

Thread Starter
As the title states will a rx240 rad be enough to cool gtx 470 sli or would some sort of 280 work better? I am new to the water cooling scene and I'm just doing some research and was wanting some opinions as I have storm scout case and I think I could fit a 280 in the front with mods to the case. I already have a H50 for the cpu and when I go sli was wanting something to get rid of the GPU fan noise, so I was looking to make a single loop dedicated to the gpus. Any and all opinions welcome

2 GPUs on RX240 will be enough. Are you sure you don't want to put your CPU into water? You may need at least an RX360 type if you want to include cpu in your loop though.

Alright Thanks for the replys and I will look to find the advanced thread tools so as to close the other thread. As far as the cpu I am happy with the load temps on the H50 so no need the include it into the loop with the gpus

The RX240 Rad will do the 470s SLI just FINE (if possible, use a push - pull fan configuration)...........If you go 280, I'm sure you'll get better temps but your temp gains will not be significant. You also need to consider the types of fans you purchase....don't cheap out on your fans..

A 360 will suit you better a 240 is kinda pushing it depending on the OCs you are looking for and temps. A 240 would be good with just the 2 slied cards not oced. Your other option would be like a GTX240 with high rpm fans 2500-3000rpm if you wanted good temps with a 240 rad but you will sacrifice how quiet your system will be.
