How much can it be OC'ed? And is the fps ok?

Thread Starter
First of all, i just wanted to know if the framerate i am running with, in games like Shogun 2:Total War, with settings on ultra/high is what it should be, with an ATI Radeon HD 5750 (a bit overclocked). My card is overclocked from the default at 740MHz core, and 1200MHz Memory to 830 core, and 1340 memory.

Im running Shogun in 30-54 fps, and when i see like 5+ units fighting close up, it goes down to 15-17 fps. And running dragon age 2 on high settings, with 2x AA, and 16x Antistrophic filtering, with 48-75 fps. Also running Mafia 2, in highest settings possible, no AA tho', with 60 fps +.

I also ran a fullscreen Furmark test, with a custom resolution (1680x1050), with a maximum of 24 fps.

Now, can this card be overclocked even further than this, with an ATI stock cooler, while it being safe, and are these average frame rates for this card?
(I would like help from someone experienced with this card, but everyone else is welcome to post a thought or two smile.gif )

As long as the card does not get to hot you are fine. Make sure your card does not get into the high 90s. the 80s are the ideal temps for full load if your in the 70s even better but when you break the 100c range thats when you could loose you card. Hope this helps

Whew, almost a 100 OC on the core, I like. I forgot what the max voltages were for that card, just check out your temps. You may even consider replacing the stock thermal paste (if you haven't already), perhaps even an aftermarket cooler. Your card is already doing a fine job.
