Another golden Q9650? You tell me.

Just got back to clocking my Q9650. Used to run it at 4230 @ 1.34 / 1.36 under load. Changed some settings and that made a large impact on the clock.

Take a look at the pictures below, what do you think?

Just for fun i tried a 4Ghz validation, as low as i could get it:
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1788845

Remember, this is only a validation, pictures below show my progress.

460*9 - 4140Mhz @ 1.296 Idle /1.312 Load - 11 Hours P95 stable
465*9 - 4185Mhz @ 1.296 Idle /1.312 Load - 11 Hours P95 stable

Now testing 475*9 - 4275Mhz @ 1.312 Idle /1.320 Load, So far 1 Hour stable, will leave it over night, then work my way up.

ATM maxing out at 60c.

Thats a very good chip.

Push higher temps are good.

Its a Swiftech 360 + Magicool 240, GT 15's in Push pull on the 360 and GT 15's in Push on the 240, everything is in the same loop. I have done test with the gpu @ 100 to, does not effect the temp that much because of all the rads, it helps with cool air, Comp is right below the window and the 360 in top is set as intake fan. Temp right above the case is 19-21c, water temp is 24c with cpu at 100%, and maybe 26-27c with the loaded to 100% as well.

Can't tell from 4 ghz. There have been 4 ghz pushers who have done it under 1.2v on XS.

If you can do 4.5 ghz (500+ FSB) at 1.4v or lower on air, THEN it's golden.
So give that a try.

Only a few have succeeded ...a VERY few over on XS....might have been someone here who did it too...

Think its my board that stopping me now, having ha hard time pushing 480-485 FSB with this board, but will keep pushing it. So far having no luck with 475FSB @ 1.335 Load, keeps failing at 1 hour mark.

Wow! What settings did you change for it to need much lower V-core than before??

I doubt that board will do 500FSB with a Quad. Dual core is a whole different story
