I returned mine to newegg and just went to fry's and bought a new one off the shelf the same day I realized I couldn't OC (properly at least)
It's a barebones system that I got in a hurry, I researched but not to this detail, so returning it is very unlikely since it was bought online but within the past 5 months.

I'm going to heed the warnings I received from some people that an unlock + high OC would likely kill this motherboard due to the TDP limit and phase control limits and other various factors. I read the thread where the OP spent quite some time and saw which boards couldn't maintain and/or died due to an unlock and/or OC on a mobo with a lower TDP for procs than what was being attempted.

They have Phenom IIs with L3 cache binned for 95W
I doubt the L3 cache adds that much power; what I would be careful with is OC-ing/overvolting

Good information, do you know for a fact if any of those boards had a max TDP of 95watts for procs ? and if so, did that 95watt board die for any reason after the unlock/OC ?

nope. so far the 880gma is still kicking thou. its in my sis rig with my unlocked x3 445 now with a mild oc to 3.2ghz.
i know the 880gma had a 95w tdp limit. its looks weak compared to all of my other boards. lol. i just hope it wouldnt blow and take anything with it :X

Hello , I am newly registered member, but have been lurking your boards for the past year . I have a question and I hope it is directed at the right post, it seems there is quite a bit of knowledge here on the Athlon II x 4 platform.
I see that some of the newer processed A2 X4 630's have the CACDC AC stepping codes and as far as I have researched , this model has the L3 onboard but locked. Can anybody confirm this before I make my purchase ? It seems like a no-brainer @ $75 (free ship). The chip also has build date 1112DPM

Thanks

I don't know why my system info is not showing up , maybe I posted before completing........
