No. I provided solutions. Stop being a blatant fanboy, move on or at least attempt to help instead of trying to start crap everywhere you go.

I don't understand your problem. Why do you have to turn everything into fanboy crap? The 6970s are faster than my 470s in Metro 2033 with 11.4 drivers and they're still not going to reach 60 fps average in Metro 2033 with those settings and neither will my cards ->Thats the Point<-.

Nobody cares and I'm sure hardly anyone shares your viewpoint on 35 fps is required for fluid play, its an opinion. Stop wielding it as if it were a fact.

Even in games like BFBC2 his CF setup may have bottlenecked but it was doing so probably for the most part above 60 fps, to rid himself of most of the CPU bottleneck he forced higher graphical settings/details. Hes probably not running too much over 60-70 FPS average now at best. CF/SLI is NOT overkill at 1080p, get over it.
^^^We need more people like this, half of the reply's I have read are "Pure Intel Fanboys" I shoulden't be using the phrase Fanboy's because in a way it's discrimination, but the next reply's I see I will report because I'm getting fed up oof this AMD vs Intel war in the AMD section.

Why would one want to fork out $$$$ or ££££ jsut to gain an extra 15-20FPS? There are solution's to these as Balla provided which gain's my +1 rep

Im so sick of these threads! Have seen tons lately. Your damn Thuban is not bottlenecking your stupid cards. Not to sound bitter but c'mon! No they are not Sandy Bridge or I7 920's or 930's. Maybe not even I5 760's, but they are not bottlenecking 6850's. Or whatever other scenarios have been out there the last few days.

As for you Balla, Im with you. I have went through most of these post and for the most part you have been fair and un bias and have helped the OP figure out their real problem. But your reputation proceeds you and you will always be an Intel fanboy. But thanks anyways.

What's so evil about a bottleneck? Besides, unless both your CPU and GPU are on 100% load exactly there is still one bottle necking the other.

Heck, when my main rig was up and running I'd often underclock my 1055t to keep my 9600GT at less than full load.

Did I get lesser framerates? Yep.
Was the GPU fan quiet as a mouse the whole time? Yep.
Did I have to take the walk of shame for actually underclocking something? Only proverbially.

Were there better ways? Probably tens of better ways. God forbid I stumble across the thought of underclocking the GPU but it did work.

I think the point is his cpu was maxed out, all 6 cores, and he couldn't get very good usage out of the video cards he spent money on. FPS is a moot point, you would always like your gpu(s) to be the bottleneck. Because that makes sense. Owning 4 GTX 580s and running them at 30% gpu usage does not make sense.

There are different users here with different systems and different desires. This particular person wanted to obtain as close to 99% usage as possible. There is nothing wrong with that, just like there is nothing wrong with people have very old video cards.

People need to worry about their own instead of trying to force their own ideals and desires onto others. Its as simple as that really, the OP desired something, and it was obtained, moved on.

Good point .
V-sync also makes the GPU-s to stay cooler (but makes the CPU work harder).

Sometimes you may need only a steady fluid gameplay hovering at around 60 FPS- for many other secundary reasons like lower temps and less noise.

I am a fanboy and i will not deny it.You should do the same.
You would also know that i tend to help people here (just see my replyes).
But your insistent "my SB is the best and your AMD is bottlenecking " ,thrown all over the AMD forum threads , is extremelly annoying so sometimes i can t stay aside and look.
