shader unlock, screwed up my 6950

Well, I just attempted to unlock the shaders on my XFX 6950 and I think I screwed up the card.

Every thing seemed to have gone well, update applied in windows, system rebooted but then stayed on a black screen. Waited a couple of minutes, finaly gave up and rebooted.... now the pc powers on but the screen stays black. hmmmm I am using a plasma TV, I wonder if the graphics card can't detect the screen via the HDMI port or if the BIOS is screwed up.

oh yeah, and I don't have dual BIOS

Does any one know of a procedure to attempt to restore the Bios on my card?

I have a second pci-e port? is there any way I can install a cheep video card and attempt to re-flash the bios on the 6950?

The fact you flashed with no dual bios means you're probably boned. I'm not sure how you could try to reflash that 6950 even with another graphics card in the system. Or at least I can't imagine it. I mean it might be possible to load up on the second pci-e slot from there, but the problem is that if you reflash, will it even detect the now not-working 6950?

Moral of the story, don't ever do a bios flash/unlock unless you're 100% sure there's a secondary bios switch.

The board has dual PCI-E slots, so I'd try to put a working card in the primary slot with the bad card in the secondary and see if you can reflash it that way.
