Will he be expanding?
If not than it is ok, but if he is going to be than get RX.

RX is such a tight squeeze on the HAF-X, it can be done, but depending on your mb, you may have clearance issues. CM really gave the X more emphasis on that XL-ATX style layout rather than one of the best selling points of the 932, water cooling support. It just doesn't look right, more half-a$$. just my .

An EK coolstream 360 performs very good and its a bit less thick than the RX. With op sli 450, he really does not need water on those gpu(s). He hasn't mentioned anything to the like, so that is my recommendation. If he is upgrading. RX is doable, but I recommend the EK 360 rad.

Its strictly cpu, like you say theres not much point with water on the 450's although one runs load in the 50's and the other in the 70's as they have different cores lol

Will most likely just go the rs route, sounds the easiest and its going to give me much better temps than the nh-d14 I currently have so hopefully can clock it some more.

Thanks for all the replys guys!

You'll love the Rasa RS360 kit. Only one thing to consider: the tube is not the best, so if you want something that will not cloud (a lot of reports) and a little bit of bling. pick up ~4ft of tube. I highly recommend Primochill Primoflex, white would look awesome against the black interior of the X. good luck and glad to have helped

How about this: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...pid-11312.html

Is that the right size?

I was thinking of blue coolant: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...pid-10200.html

Only thing I dont understand is the kit is listed with 7/16" ID - 5/8" OD tubing but it has 1/2" barbs so wouldnt 1/2" ID be ok???

Thanks for the help!!

That tube is great. 7/16 inner diameter tube will fit on a 1/2" barb. Its a tighter squeeze and better seal but can be a bit of challenge to get it on.

DO NOT run colored/dyed fluid. Its too much of a hassle and you'll end up regretting it. I used dye fluid for my first ventures and learned that its not worth it as they stain and clog your blocks and other parts.

Stick with distilled water and add silver (ie kill.coil) or a good biocide/algae-control.

If you need color, Primochill offers blue, green, black, white, and red 1/2" tube. Get this instead. Add some leads and/or cold cats to add more color.

btw, these are the most common inch fractions seen in water cooling (in ascending orde):
1/16", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4",....

just google to make the metric conversions
