I think the Superclocked 560 wouldn't be a bad idea especially if it looks like it won't cost you more than $50. I was going to suggest the Superclocked if you were getting the regular 560 because the extra guaranteed clock speed will help differentiate the performance between the 6870 and 560 more in the 560s favor. Have fun.

If you plan on gaming at higher resolutions than 1920x1080 or planning to use multiple monitors in your setup then I suggest picking up a 2gb 560. I think Palit makes them. The 1 gb vram is the only thing I dislike about my 560. More vram helps at higher resolutions. Oh and try to get a nonreference card with a dual fan cooler like from MSI or Asus. The fan on my EVGA reference card is so loud!

my monitor is 1920x1080, I do not plan to multi monitor again. On a side note, I may be doing a small OC on this card, can anyone recommend a good vga cooler that doesnt take up more than the usual 2 slots?

Not a bad idea, the lifetime warranty and $30 MIR has me set for evga. Will the ARCTIC COOLING Accelero TWIN TURBO Pro work for the 560? I can take that off of the 6870 and place it on the 560

AC doesn't specifically list it as compatible on their website but there have been 560s with it prefitted as stock, so I would assume that it will work but that you might need to source some rubber spacers or something like that yourself. You should also probably get the specific VRM heatsink and mounting kit for the 560 that they use for the AXP, that will atleast have the VRM heatsinks you need and would likely have any spacers or anything else required as well. The EVGA 560 with a AC cooler on it will be very nice.

EDIT: This is what I would get, it won't guarantee you will be able to use the cooler from the 6870 on the 560 but it will give you the best chance of doing so.

If you can get a good price for that 6870 go for a MSI GTX 560 Ti or 6950 2gb.
