Ok, how exactly do I update my BIOS?

Thread Starter
I got my computer back from being repaired, and it is giving me blue screens, even though the guy said everything was perfectly fine with it. He ran memtest, furmark, prime....everything. So he said to update the BIOS(I'm thinking maybe some USB ports aren't working) How EXACTLY do I update my BIOS? I have the P8P67 Pro, and when I go into the BIOS menu, I dunno where to check my version, how to update it....anything. Please help.

Download the latest BIOS(in your case it's called a EFI).

Put it on flash drive.

Go into the EFI then go to the update utility.

after that it should ask you where to look for the file (simple enough)

then it should install it without any trouble.

Granted I've never done it on a EFI/UEFI but every other one I've done it to, including my sig rig I've either used a flash drive or an external HDD. Doesn't take long. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Go here and click on the download tab. Download BIOS 1502. It will be a .BIN file. Put that .BIN file on your flash drive. Now go into the BIOS and reset to defaults, and restart. Then go back into the BIOS, under the Tools section, and go to Asus EZ Flash. Once it opens, navigate to the .BIN file and click OK. It should take about a minute.

Thanks guys! Now, will this update the chipset drivers and such? I forgot to mention, I installed the drivers from my old Mobo disc onto my new one...

No, that's completely different and done within the operating system.

No you need to install the chipset drivers in Windows. Those are found on the same page as the BIOS update.

Ok, so, are the EFI .BIN file you linked the only file that needs to be updated through the BIOS?
