1090T @ 4Ghz with 1.35v? - Page 2

1.39V is pretty good for 4GHz (with the H50)
Push that RAM at higher MHz, but 6-6-6 for timings.

Lowest voltage needed for my chip @ 4GHz was 1.30625V(BIOS) --> 1.33-1.34V at full load.

Socks, regarding your comment about leaving FSB, so far thats what I've done, I've OCd the RAM individually and may as well up the NB to 3.0ghz @ 1.3v by itself too. Thats what your implying yes?
Yes, the beefing up the clock on the cpuNB will yield better performance from your ram.

Yes, I would do say 200 fsb, 20x multi for cpu, x15 multi for cpunb, ram at 1600.

Thats assuming you don't want to push the ram any higher on the MHz.

Seems like I may have hit the thermal wall.

At the moment with the CPU at 4Ghz @ 1.35-139v the temps hit max 55 using Prime95 (small FFT).

I estimate that if I up the NB to 3Ghz it will reach 60 degrees celcius.

I tried doing cpuNB 3Ghz @ cpuNBvolts 1.25v & 1.3v but the comp would crash under prime, so I gonna test 1.35v and hopefully that should do it.

I'm just a tad concerned about reaching 60 degrees on the CPU, should I be?

Also I know Prime95 stresses it heaps beyond any real world application which I can see when I game, My CPU only ever reaches high 40s when gaming!

My ambient room/MB temp was around 25 degrees.

I wouldn't be concerned about the temperatures. Unless you're folding or doing some sort of heavy computing tasks, your temps will never get that high during everyday usage.

Upping the CPU-NB clock improves the integrated memory controller clock. Big benefit in bandwidth.

Running prime at the moment.

Managed to get the NB at 3ghz using 1.35v for cpuNB so far the temps using prime are at 59c. so far an hour in.

I also ran LINX for 50 runs and no errors came up. Mad temp during linx was 48c.

So thumbs up guys?

Yep looks good, pretty hot though but its just stressing.

The XSPC Rasa kit would be a nice upgrade to your cooling solution should you ever decide its warranted

Looking good, you could always try 3.1GHz on the Northbridge like me?

Yes, i find it easier to be done like that specially since you ave unlocked multi may aswell use it.
