The difference with the -b is that it is not variable speed, it is "stuck" at D5 speed 4. Still a great pump and a high-flow pump, just not variable. Honestly, I don't know why people would mess with a variable speed pump except for noise, but put any pump over a sponge and they're silent.

Alright, that's what I figured. My main concern was the ability for that pump to flow my loop configuration properly, but I don't think it's going to be a huge problem.
