Are these temperatures okay?

Hey guys,

ive installed my waterblocks today with new radiator and new led fans.

My rig:
Silverstone Temjin TJ07
480mm radiator with 4 Enermax Apollish, running at ~1800rpm (12V)
Heatkiller 3.0 Cu
AquagraFX GTX580
Laing D5 pump + reservoir

After 2 hours Call of Duty Black Ops I got following temperatues.

I think the temperatures are much to high? What do u think?
thank u very much!

temps are actually great.. though they probably dropped down about 10-15c when you got out of game.

You don't need to worry until you physically feel hot when gaming.

Hey adamwzl,

my temperatures goes down after feew seconds to.

CPU: 34°C
CPU-Cores: 41°C / 37°C / 40°C / 36°C
GPU: 32°C

I will drop my Apollish fans down to 5/7V, because of the noise. Is that recommended with these temperatures?

Thank u!

Roomtemperature is around 25°C

It seems a little bit high for an idle temp. What are your load temps?

Hey,

Zotac GTX580AMP! @ Clock: 810 Memory: 1025 Shader: 1620
Cooler: AquagraFX GTX580
Idle: ~30-34°C | Load: 40-45°C

Intel Core i7-920 @ 4000MHz @ 8 Threads @ 1,216V LOAD
Cooler: Heatkiller 3.0
Idle: ~40°C at the cores | Load: 65-70°C at the Cores

Hope it helps...

Also are you OC'd at all?

I personally think the temps are just about right with only a push or pull fan config. If you added another 4 fans to your rad you should see about 5-8c drop; just a estimate.

The lower the fan speed the hotter the temps, honestly your really not going to hurt anything. The stock 580 idles at like 60c I believe and the cpu when clocked down to 1.2ghz or something idles around 30-40c on air. So your already ahead of the curve.

But if you want better performance get better fans. Do a lot of research and find the ones that push the most air but stay quiet at the same time.

Remember both your cpu & gpu are using the same water. So their temps will be close together during idle and load.

the cpu seems a little hot with what you just posted.

It maybe due to the way you mounted the cpu block. Did you use to much thermal paste and what kind did you use?

Also lapping the cpu can decrease your temps as well. But research on how to that do before you attempt it.

I use the Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste.

Lapping the CPU spreader is no solution for me. (Dunno if u mean that)

Jep my system is overclocked at all.

What are your temps with your 950?
lapping is basically fine sanding the top of the processor.

The thermal paste seems great, I use AC5 personally. I've never used noctua so are there any specific instructions on how to apply the paste. I know for ac5 a tiny little drop on the cpu will work out the best. As more the paste the worse the performance.

Your CPU temps look high.
I'm getting the same results with an H50.

Does cold water reach your GPU first in the loop?
