I agree. Brand name is a bit more than it's worth in some cases.. There are a lot of Apple fanboys who would jump all over the iPad2 and even if they already own an iPad1. Just because it's an Apple product. It's crazy! That's how devoted to the brand name they are. But a lot of people are also saying the upgrade from iPad1 to iPad2 just isn't worth the money. The iPad3 should have more to reveal next year then the iPad2.
I realize that Apple has crappy hardware (performance wise) in comparison to their PC counter parts and a pretty big portion of money being spent is into the brand and the design. But you can't discredit the time and effort that went into the UI either.. And Apple does make quality products in terms of them lasting a long lifespan, being durable against every day wear and tear, and having a user interface which is like night and day compared to anything else out there. Everything just works, and works the way it's supposed to. This is what I find anyways. But to each their own!
If you can convince me to buy a Xoom instead of an iPad then I will make the switch but quite frankly I think I will pay more for a Xoom and get a much slower / worse UI out of it.Edited by revlimiter - 4/27/11 at 7:53pm
