Need to Buy New Monitor

Thread Starter
i now need a new monitor which has been long overdue. i did have two 1440 x 900 monitors which was a very low res for me only because i had 2 i could make a good use with it. yesterday one of the monitors topped working so im stuck with 1 which i can hardly put up with.

i want to spend somewehere around £130 +- £20 or so.

i definetely want it to be 1920 x 1080 or higher because i want a much higher res than what i have now.

i would like to ask if anyone can suggest a good monitor.
i would prefer it to be around 22 inchs but if its a good monitor i'll go for a smaller size as i have a 19 inch which i think is an alright size. so anything higher will just be an advantage for me.

thanks in advance.

so far i have found
LG E2260V-PN 22" LED Monitor
Acer H223HQEbmid Full HD Monitor 1920x1080 2ms

they seem good but i cant be sure.

i may be able to increase the budget to £200 if i can justify it to my dad (hint:ips panel)

Budget? We can get you something better than the average crap if your budget is high enough and if your computer stores in london have the necessary items.

PS: The differnce between 1440x900 and 1920x1080 is not HUGE but certainly noticiable. For a bigger upgrade, you could always try to go 1920x1200. Or get two 1920x1080 monitors. Or get a new 1920x1080 monitor and use your old 1440x900 next to it.

What do you think?

I'd say either of those two look good!

The Acer would be my choice and its also on offer at Scans Today Only Page.

Can the 200 pounds get you a dell U2211h? If not, wishing for an IPS panel might be useless.

Just a piece of advice.

Make sure to know what you ask for before you ask for help. It is very tiresome to spend time helping someone when they after a while change budget and such so you have to start on page one again, with all the work wasted.

i havent really changed the budget as in the original post i said around £130 that i "maybe" able to increasse however i was not able to.
i understand your point however i havent changed the budget and no-ones really actually reccomended me a monitor so i wouldnt think your point applies here.

As I suggested for what you said you wanted the monitor you have said seems good.
The price is ok, it has the features you want?

I order from scan, judging by the fast both the monitors you listed were on special offer on their site when you made the post means you probably are using the same site to see the same products as I would.
