First Build - Your Thoughts?

Hey Guys,

So I'm about to purchase the parts for my first gaming PC. Woot! I'm looking to spend around $1000 on the components themselves. I already have the mouse, keyboard, monitor (1920 x 1080), and OS. Here's the list that I've come up with thus far:

i5 2500k - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072
ASRock P67 Extreme4 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157229
Corsair XMS 4GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145339
MSI Radeon HD 6950 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145339
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152185
Cooler Master Hyper 212+ - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065
Corsair TX750 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139021
Cooler Master 690 II Advanced - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119216

The total comes out to be just over $1000 before rebate. So what do you all think? Is it a solid build? I'll mostly be using the PC for gaming and school. I'm looking to add another 6950 as well as an SSD a couple of months down the road. My funds are somewhat limited right now...

Anyway thanks for the advice in advance! This being my first build, I can use alot of it.

Very good looking build. You could maybe go for something a little better for the cooler but the 212 is a great little unit.

I would change the memory out for some Gskill 1600Mhz@7-8-7-24

But all in all the rest is fine, the TX750 is a bit overkill but hey, gives you lots of headroom. You could get the TX650V2 and still xfire on it

solid build.

With the memory prices being what they are you might look into using that 15% off deal they have going on and get a 2 X 4Gb kit.

PSU I'd look into something modular for ease of cable management.

Just a couple suggestions.

Is the speed difference between CAS 9 memory and CAS 7 memory that noticeable?
