I love matte but thats just me.

glossy = maximus sharpness, contrast and color artificially increase but have glares.
the matte monitor is not better, the best for quality is glare, because the panel is product like glare, for to became a matte, is used an external coating that is not 100% trasparent, and decrease sharpness and downsatured the colors but have not any glare.

there's 3 types of AG coating : light, medium and hard ( this one cause eyestrain and difficoult to text reading ).

The light or semi-glare coating is used on VA panel and it's absolutly the best solution.

Medium is used tipically in TN monitors, and hard is used in IPS monitors.




Glare is the maximus quality but you must stay in a dark room or low lighting level everytime.
if u cant, u must buy a matte panel.
