WC Advice - is it worth it or should i just upgrade? - Page 2

Thread Starter
the WC on my current cards would be so I could OC with lower temps, but if the better solution would be to buy a current card... the performance issue would be met without the need for OC (at least at this time)

being the numbers goon that I am, i have started a spreadsheet already with higher end card prices, and their corresponding water blocks and and weighing my options. it looks like i can still make a small recovery on the 5770 on ebay to put some fundage toward the new setup.

i am thinking a simple 2 step loop with a 280 radiator and EK blocks for my cpu and gpu. if i see a 15 degree or so drop at full load on the gpu, i might start some fine OC tuning just to see what it could do... but to just have that lower temp stability with summer ambient temps on the way would be reassuring.

As many previous OCN'ers used to say to me in the past. You will get better results from upgrading to a single card solution.

I followed that advice until I finally had cards and cpu and system in general that would benefit from watercooling everything (plus picked up a bit more experience with a smaller cpu only loop in the process)
