also, is there any difference if i plug this ssd into the marvel 6gb sata ports vs the intel p67 6gb sata ports?

Intel supports TRIM which is essential for keeping SSD in a good shape. Not sure about speeds but I guess it should be faster than Marvell as well coz it is native controller on P67 boards.

Use Marvell only in case you ran out of all Intel ports. I would never use Marvell tbh.
