Of course you can, but the main point of having a seedbox is to have a server on a high powered connection that is dedicated to torrenting. The traffic won't be visible to your ISP because it'll be using a datacenter's connection.

The main advantage to setting up a local seedbox (if you made one of your linux computers a seedbox) is simply the ability for you to centralize torrenting across all of your home computers on the local network.
