Looking for new headphones.... HELP! - Page 3

if you look back on the first page he posts what music he listens to while also mentioning that he already has a "good quality external sound card" i dont think he needs people to recommend him a DAC when he already has one.

@bootscamp: might want to look at the the DT770 Pro for good bass, or the Denon D2000, not sure if both require an amp or not so you might want to head over to headfi to make sure.

[edit]
i also think it would be best to more specific on what external sound card you are currently using

Fact is, a person asking for a recommendation on a set of headphones should give us as much information as they can. Him telling us that he has a "good quality external sound card" is purely subjective. To him, a good sound card could be a $20 Creative card, which, in this case, will fail when driving most cans being recommended here.

We need to know makes and models before we can make a proper suggestion on gear for the OP. Lets face it, the speakers, in this case cans, are only as good as the component before them.
