Qpad HeatoN IE: The largest hard pad

Thread Starter
I got my HeatoN pad from Qpad USA today and thought I would post some first thoughts. (they also threw in some Microsoft Intellimouse feet)

It came in relatively well packaged with a few layers of cardboard.

I do like that it came in a plastic case that can be snapped shut again for when you travel.

It's about the same size as most large cloth pads. Here it is next to my QCK Heavy

m0MsQ.jpg

and is quite a bit larger than my 9HD

It feels very similar to the 9HD at least in respect to glide.

I should be posting my thoughts vs. the 9HD is particular tomorrow. But I need to cook up some dinner and head out to the bar now.

Sexy looking pad. How much was it, may I ask?

Holy crap man you have got some serious money in your system! I thought I spent a lot, but dang. It really is a bottomless hole for you wallet to go down.

I have been thinking about what other mouse pad to get. I have a Razer Vespula. I dont know if it is right for the G9x. I got it at Frys because it was big and had a wrist pad. I am old.

Well I've been able to spend ~6 hours or so gaming on this pad.

For a lowish sensitivity gamer such as myself (24 inch 360* turn) this is the best hard pad I've used.

It is pretty much the same surface as the 9HD. The 9HD feels ever so slightly more slick. But it's so close that it may be in my head or just wear on the 9HD for all the use it's had. Tracking between the two seemed to be exactly the same.

For me I don't see this replacing my love of cloth, but for anyone who wants a large hard pad this gets two thumbs up from me.

PS need to update my sig. I sold the GTX 470's and moved to a 570 and sold two of the monitors and picked up a 120hz setup. Munch more LAN friendly.

Thanks for the quick review.
I might bite the bullet and get this pad. It would be the most I ever paid for a pad. redface.gif

Lets see what GonX has to say.

The Zowie G-TF offers the best mix of control and speed in my opinion. I'm interested to get my puretrak Talent though.

I too would like to see what someone with a different play style has to say about this pad.
