What to get? - Page 2

Razer Lachesis is a nice mouse (I got one last week) but it takes getting used to. For me, the ambidextrous design meant learning to hold my wrist at a slightly different angle. Also it's pretty big so look for something else if you have smallish hands.

I currently use a Deathadder Black Edition and it's great. I also have a G500 and a Lachesis and I prefer the DA over those two for a few different reasons. The G500 has a great shape for palm grippers but I'm more of a claw/fingertip kind of person. Also the sensor doesn't work too well on cloth and it isn't centered so that may throw you off if since the Copperhead has a centered sensor.

The Lachesis on the other hand is a mouse that I didn't like at all, the z-axis issues and the ergonomics just made me really dislike the mouse. Razer has made some attempts at fixing the z-axis issue through firmware updates but I was still running into issues and just gave up on the thing. The mouse is ambidextrous so it has mouse buttons on either side and it's not really suited for palm grippers. Even claw gripping the mouse was uncomfortable because I kept clicking the buttons on the side I rested my ring and pinky fingers on.

The DA is meant to be a palm grip mouse but I use a claw grip with it and its worked very well for me. The only issue that I've run into so far was the lift off distance, that can be fixed with some scotch magic tape and some patience. It's definitely a very good mouse that is worthy of the praise it receives, and I'm very interested to see the Valor which is supposed to be running a sensor that is very similar to the DA's sensor.

For keyboard I recommend a mechanical, they don't wear out like rubber domes, have faster response time, and other benefits as well. I recommend Brown switches, they seem to be in the middle ground in terms of gaming and typing.

I have a Das Keyboard Professional S and a RAT 7 mouse, I love and would recommend both. Logitech is a good brand I would recommend for mice as well. I always tell people to stay away from Razer, they have horrible build quality and seem to wear out very fast.

Looking up right now.
