Happened to me too. I bought a G73 before my sig rig, and now I absolutely hate using it. It's agonizing.

Haha, well I feel a little better about it now.

So no one regrets making the switch so far? Even with prices being what they are?

I picked up http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227714
for ~$290 after discount.

The only thing I regret is not putting an SSD in all of my computers.

In essence: There's no reason at all NOT to buy an SSD.

edit: I also paid $800 for Two SSDs 2 years ago. Upgraded 2 months ago again for $700 to a 250GB.

No regrets. Just want to buy more and put them in ALL of my computers. I'm doing it in May!

SSD:
Faster
Less waiting
More reliable
Much more durable (150G shock resistance vs. SSD is 1,500G shock)
Faster
Less waiting
No waiting for anything really.....
Less electricity used (great for laptops)
No waiting for loading

you get the idea....

I spent just short of $1000 on my C300 R0 array. I can't rationalize the purchase, but I certainly couldn't live without it now.

I've regretted it big time. $230 for a barely noticeable performance and a slightly faster boot time? Don't get me wrong, I love all the perks, I just think the money could have been better spent.

It's actually a very nice boost to my computer. I don't have a single game installed on it because the benefit is so much greater for the apps I use. It takes more time for the splash screen to flash than it does for me to load Microsoft Word. I absolutely love it!
