Android Tablet for School??

Thread Starter
Looking to get my wife a newer tablet for school. Currently we have a Hp tx2510 and we dont need a second pc as mush as something quick to use. Will an Asus Transformer work good for that?

We need to find an app that can reliably and easily go from Word to working on the tablet then go back to word if need be. The other option is an Acer W500 with W7 instead.

Sorry for the vague and quickly wrote post

The asus transformer should work well, plus you can get the attachable keyboard.

I was hoping to get the Acer Iconia Tab A500 tonight, but apparently it has issues playing 1080i movies for some reason.

16gb should be plenty, and yes the keyboard is separate, and I think $150.

official MSRP is $550 for both dock and tablet (not including shipping&taxes) if your ordering online and if applicable

the dock as far as I can't see is not available in the US, Canada or in Europe.
According to some reports on the local computer forums in HK, we seem to have both available if you manage to find somewhere that does have stock

You might look at the Asus, but be wary. IF you want good pen input (like I assume the HP has), this isn't it.

Also, minor point. There are no droid tablets. Droid is a group of android products sold by verizon. So far, they have not put the droid branding on any tablet. However, android is the operating system.

ok ok

As far as pen input we dont really use it for writing. We bought the HP for that reason but she likes old school pen and paper. So now Im looking for the portability of the andriod tablet.

My other thought was an M11x for me
