Nvidia guy looking for single-slot 6000-series GPU.

What's up, looking for some GPUs to play with for my next build, most likely this summer. What's holding me back from going with ATI/AMD this round is the lack of single slot possibilities with the GPU. With Nvidia's current lineup of 400 and 500 single-card solutions, one can use a single-slot bracket and then add a water block for a single-slot GPU.

What I'm looking for is a 2GB 6950 single-slot without the double-decker DVI ports. Or, anything similar. Thanks.

Why not this:
http://www.techpowerup.com/144010/Po...hics-Card.html

It is the only worthy successor to your GTX 480s. The 6990 REALLY shines on water cooling.

It's for my microATX build, I need a card no longer than 10 inches.

Well then I'd stay on the green side for <10 in cards.

I like the 6950 because it offers a 2GB version and is under 10 inches. That's why I came here wondering if I was perhaps, overlooking any possibility of a single-slot.

For that, you'll have to drop down to the 6800 series :\\

The 6950/6970 reference models are 10.75".

The XFX non-reference model (the HD-695X) may be less than 10", not sure.

The 6850 by PowerColor is the most powerful 6000 series single slot card you'll find:
http://www.techpowerup.com/144481/Po...hics-Card.html

You can CrossFireX them though assuming your mATX motherboard has the slots available.

There exist waterblock 6000 series cards y'know. For example,
http://www.techpowerup.com/144010/Po...hics-Card.html

Powercolor also has a a single slot aircooled 6850

As for 6950s that meet your criteria, I don't know of any.

Thanks, Alex.

However, it only has 1GB, and is not as powerful as a 6950. This rig will be a a three-monitor gaming rig, so, I need all of the juice that I can get within the specs that I have defined.

I'd recommend cutting/modding the case to fit the HD 6950.

I did it for my GTX 480 and it's well worth the speed increase.
