I am getting strange temps.

Thread Starter
Ok so below is a image of what SpeedFan is reading and I get a strange -128 degrees. Then we go to HWmonitor and I get all 0 degrees for processor cores. Does anyone have any idea whats what with this?

As for speed fan I think that board only has 2 sensors on it, I wouldnt worry about the -128 its a false reading, and for the HWM an unlocked processor wont give the core temps

Those are basically readings from sensors that are either not there, or are broke (most likely just not there).

I suspect the CPU temps are showing elsewhere, possible "temp 1"?
No those are accurate sensor readings; you should get some insane overclocks.

I think that's because you have unlocked your cores. It has something to do with the Advanced core calibration.

alright thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure everyhting was working 100%

They're probably messed up
But I would be worried about not being able to see temps properly, because you won't be able to see VRM temps properly, and that is an extremely bad board to unlock to 125W TDP x4 on VRM-wise... unless you want to be one of those members who experiences a catastrophic blow-up I recommend you keep it locked to 2 cores and lower TDP/power consumption, as the VRM quality/failures on this particular board are a very well known issue

Yes I know. I've seen you trolling about them before, but thanks again for the heads up.

I'm going way out on a limb here only because this response I take very personally.

Urban Dictionary's description of a troll

1. Being a prick on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can.

2nd. Trolling is the act of purposefully antagonizing other people on the internet, generally on message boards. When done in a moderated internet community, this can result in banning

3rd. Trolling is trying to get a rise out of someone. Forcing them to respond to you, either through wise-crackery, posting incorrect information, asking blatantly stupid questions, or other foolishness. However, trolling statements are never true or are ever meant to be construed as such. Nearly all trolled statements are meant to be funny to some people, so it does have some social/entertainment value.

To accuse, or even use such a term with someone of xd1771's character and expertise only shows you sir are an idiot!

xd_1771 doesnt troll, he tries to give warnings before others blow up their boards

core temps are broken because acc is enabled which allows you to unlock cores

lock them up and see what the diff is between your socket and core temps to give an offset then use socket temp when your cores are unlocked
