Seems some of the points of this thread are missing the point.

Since the PSN has failed to meet their own registration (not to mention mp game play) requirements, the context of this question is what are the necessary work-a-rounds for customers to partially redeem what they have already paid for. A request which may indeed have a non-existent solution but would still be a legitimate expectation considering the purchase included additional working gaming networks/environments. Ranting may not solve, but I see nothing funny here - unless you find corporate indifference and fine print disclosures entertaining.

This entire issue has led to unprecedented circumstances not typical of opened package software return policies. As for me, Best Buy just exchanged my opened product for the same XBox title which includes a working platform. It may not include a PC/MAC licenses, but the exchange has proved to be more useful than Sony’s and Steam's support combined.
