For about $10 more you can get a better board and the K series chip, which can be overclocked. Only disadvantage is it doesn't support x8/x8 multi GPU, but I really doubt she is going to run 2 GPUs lol. It would be quite silly to build a Sandy Bridge PC and not overclock. Even on the stock cooler you're going to be able to bump the frequency up a little bit and either undervolt it or leave it at stock voltage.

That is not entirely accurate, you can OC with H67 however it's only via adjusting the bclk. You can't do any decent OC as the multiplier is locked. but yes I would suggest for $10more a hyper 212+ for ~$27 and a P67 board even a mild OC of 4Ghz and a decent GPU would be better.

im not going to overclock! so a k series chip and p67 board is not needed. Stock speeds are perfectly acceptable
