you're on Venomous X on that temps with just 4ghz..IMO its hot..try to lower down your vcore to 1.32-1.35v if it helps plus lower your VTT to 1.35v..if you're on a single card just use a lower IOH voltage like 1.16v and your ICH to 1.16v too..too much voltage can sometimes hurt than help..

Do you think i might need to reapply paste or a bit of a bad install on the heatsink?

I will drop those and see what happens. Thanks!

yes i think you have to reapply and reset your cooler..i am just peaking out around 60c on 4ghz with 1.27v on vcore..well my ambient is around 33c..

also is your 920 a D0 stepping chip or not??well C0 stepping chips need alot more vcore than D0's do..

You shouldn't need a higher PLL than 1.82 really for anything below 4.4Ghzish IMO. It will vary from chip to chip though.

my ambient is prolly 70 degrees atleast on the thermostat.

Hmm i guess i will reseat it.

I think the best paste may help to. ( I used ChillFactor 3 Paste )

Maybe i should use MX 2 or artic silver 5?

Did you do a small dot in the middle when u applied?

The venomous X has issues with seating properly(search forums) using the center pressure device.. tightening it often makes the cooler loose. For my venomous X on my new build ive struggled for a fair medium which is not even half a turn on the center. Check the cooler and make sure it doesn't twist and turn too much. Those ambients are scary high.

oops i meant 70 Degrees Fahreinheit. my bad.

Will i need to take off the entire heatsink or do u think i can work in the wrench they give you to loosen it?

Anybody know anything about that chillfactor 3 paste?

I was going to get a gentle typhoon fan. Maybe do just a push but also maybe a push pull.

What do you guys think. Sound isnt a big deal so if i can cool it down more that would be nice. I only got 1 fan clip in my box anyways
