    Sandy Bridge-E. I prefer Quad-Channel RAM over 22nm.

Ivy Bridge. It's cheaper, 22nm and comes out only a few month after.

Waiting for an 'SR-2'-style Dual-Socket LGA2011 board and 16 cores!

It's finally AMD's time to shine. Go competition!

Perfectly happy with my 2600k. Maybe I'll get Ivy Bridge-E in two years.

Already got an i7-920. Gonna put all my money on Kepler.

In light of all the leaked information about Sandy Bridge-E and Ivy Bridge, I think we now have a good enough idea of the future market (besides Bulldozer) to be able to legitimately plan ahead to our next builds.

As far as I understand it goes like this:

Q1 2011
Sandy Bridge - 4/8 (+~15% per clock)

Q4 2011
Sandy Bridge-E - 4/8, 6/12 (+ Quad-Channel RAM)

Q1 2012
Ivy Bridge - 4/8, 6/12 (+~30% [according to Intel])

Q1-Q2 2012
Sandy Bridge-E Server - 4/8, 6/12, 8/16 (+ 2xQPI)

So, which are you going to go for - will you get Sandy Bridge-E, or wait for Ivy Bridge even though it's "mainstream"?

I want to say Bulldozer, but for the money I probably will go Sandy Bridge, but we will see.

I'll mostly likely hold out for Ivy Bridge and Bulldozer, and decide from there. I'm expecting my move to be to Ivy Bridge, but I'm hoping Bulldozer puts the serious pressure on.
