Installing new Motherboard on old setup

Hello fokes

I'm trying to get my new motherboard up and working, but I'm having a few troubles with it. Earlier today I got a copy of Windows 7 OS, and I tried installing it, but instead of opening the windows program, it just went "Cannot boot from CD - Code: 5". As mentioned in the title this is a computer I've been using with another motherboard before this one, but I don't know if that affects anything.

Butyeah, please help internet forum, you're kind of my only hope:|

The fact the components were used on another motherboard before doesn't pose any problem.
Then you should just check if all the cables are plug where they have to, set the proper BOOT sequence in the BIOS (DVD first) and you're good to go. If by any chance you already did all of this and then you got that error then you should check the Win7 DVD is it's not damaged or poorly written

cheers

/offtopic: the best alternative to install W7 is from an USB thumb drive as they're much faster and more reliable.

Ok thanks for the input
I'm completely new to all the BIOS settings, but I went into the menu called "Advanced BIOS features" and I found a place where it said First Boot Device, Second Boot Device and Third Boot Device, should I just set the CD drive to be the first one here? Or should I rather access the Boot menu when the computer boots up?
